Child's Play
The Mudbug Media team pulled together during the 2010 holiday season to donate more than $500 worth of games, gaming systems, and toys to Tulane Hospital for Children through Child's Play, a national organization dedicated to providing games to children in hospitals around the world. This unique effort combined our love of gaming with the joys of giving back during the holiday season.
St. Bernard Project
With the end of 2010 nearing and holiday spirit strong in our minds, the Mudbug Media team volunteered on December 4th to help the St. Bernard Project. With the intent of helping rebuild the home of a family in need, the Mudbug team donned sanding blocks, spackling troughs, and drywalling accoutrements, helping to pave the way for a family to return home before 2011.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
For the second year, Mudbug Media supported the fight against breast cancer by participating in the 2010 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. It was a beautiful day at New Orleans’ City Park. As pink flooded the pathways and streets, the race was a success and our team was proud to help raise money for this important cause.
Kicking for Kids
On May 23, 2010, Mudbug Media competed in the Kicking for Kids fundraiser, benefiting New Orleans’ Jewish Community Center. Although we didn’t take home the trophy, we had so much fun playing for a great cause. The tournament benefited the JCC’s kids’ summer programs. It’s going to be a great summer at the JCC.
Great Strides
Members of the Mudbug Media team took part in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s 2010 Great Strides fundraising walk in Audubon Park. Inspired by the presence of several survivors, we are proud to have participated in support of the Foundation’s efforts.
Zoo-To-Do for Kids
Several members of our team volunteered at Audubon Zoo’s annual Zoo-To-Do for Kids fundraising event. As we painted faces, there was a long line of both kids and adults waiting to be transformed into animals and super heroes. All proceeds went to the building of the zoo’s new tropical exhibit, Cool Zoo.

KaBoom!
Mudbug Media volunteered a few of its finest on Tuesday, March 9th to go out to Jefferson Park and help the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) build a playground for the community. We had a blast building playground equipment, planting gardens, and of course, playing Bingo to pass the time while a thunderstorm came through!
25th Anniversary Ochsner Run
Mudbug Media was proud to participate in the 2010 Ochsner Run, an annual fundraiser for the Ochsner Clinic Foundation. The year, the race benefitted Pediatrics, Nursing Education, and the Competitive Sports Teams at Elmwood Fitness Center. While our team was divided between the 1-mile and 5-k courses, we all had a great time at the post-race "Rhythm and Sole" party!
Bayou Rebirth
On March 6, 2010, Mudbug Media teamed up with our friends at Bayou Rebirth to help plant palmetto and cypress trees in the Bonnet Carré Spillway. The new park is part of the Wetland Warriors' efforts to save our wetlands. We took to this effort like fishes to water, or in our case, like mudbugs to mud.
