Great Creole cuisine comes from the blending of cultural influences — French, Spanish, Caribbean and African — to create a truly distinctive and memorable taste. Our varied backgrounds allow us to share our collective expertise. As for Creole cooking, we start with one core piece of advice, “First you make a roux…”

Celebrating Social Media

Celebrating Social Media

From a marketing perspective, it’s easy to love social media: it provides increased traffic to the things most important to you, is relatively inexpensive compared to traditional methods of advertising, and encourages a very natural way of communicating – peer to peer referrals through sharing links or retweeting.

Good Deed: MLK Day 2011

Mudbug Media helping Save Our Cemetaries

Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” Well, on the holiday commemorating the late civil rights leader, we were doing just that—doing for others. Spearheaded by the local non-profit Save Our Cemeteries, in coordination with HandsOn New Orleans, several of us used our day off to help keep our historic treasures and monuments erect and clean.

The Spirit of the Season

“It’s the holiday season,” and I know Andy Williams is crooning on your playlist.

Spreading joy is contagious this time of year, and rightly so. As the year draws to a close, it gives us the opportunity to reflect upon our journeys, express gratitude, and celebrate life, via an assortment of customs and traditions, spanning across the globe. Good Deed: St. Bernard Project 2010

With the end of 2010 nearing and holiday spirit strong in our minds, Mudbug Media’s interest in giving back to the community is vital during this communal time of year. Continuing on our quest to achieve 11 Good Deeds for our 11th year as a company, on December 4th, a group of employee volunteers (and one non-employee – thanks, Andre!) participated in our 9th Good Deed this year – the St. Bernard Project’s Rebuilding Program.

The St. Bernard Project was started in 2006 with the goal of helping Hurricane Katrina survivors return to their homes, their communities, and their New Orleans, through the project’s volunteer-based rebuilding programs, as well as The Center for Wellness and Mental Health.

Thanksgiving, the Mudbug Way

We are supremely thankful for all of our clients and readers, as well as for living here in the greatest city —New Orleans. In traditional Thanksgiving cheer, we wanted to share a few of the things that Mudbugs are thankful for this holiday season.
