Google or Bing?

In the advertising world, what you have to say about your product is just as important as where you say it.  If your customers all drive cars, advertising inside the bus station won’t do much good, no matter how catchy the slogan.

If your business advertises online, the clear choice for pay per click ad campaigns for much of the last decade has been Google, but competing search engine Bing could end up giving Google a run for its money.

Do you need a CMS?

The Internet is basically a limitless font of digitized informationAnything and everything can and has ended up on some sort of website at some point in the past three decades.  The trick is organizing and updating that information while making it easy to access.

Web developers and programmers have the tools and skills to update websites themselves.  If you aren’t planning on going back to school and need to make frequent updates to your site, you may want to consider using a content management system.

Content management systems have become increasingly user friendly and allow you to organize your website in such a way that it is accessible to everyone.  The trick is finding and implementing the correct CMS for your needs and budget.

Good Deed: Kaboom! 2010

This has been an especially busy week for Mudbug Media’s Community Craw11 initiative.  Last Saturday, a group of Mudbugs got down and dirty saving the wetlands along Lake Pontchartrain, and this Tuesday another group helped build a playground with 650 other volunteers for a massive Kaboom! playground construction project.

The build was sponsored by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, which is holding a citywide conference in New Orleans this week.  Eight Mudbug Media programmers, designers and coordinators braved driving rain and scary power tools to help construct a playground from scratch at Jefferson Playground.
